Here are the 10 things you MUST KNOW before hiring your next video production company:

1. Do they use full 1080p High Definition Cameras with experienced operators? You’ll also want items such as lighting, and high quality microphones included in the package: Top quality doesn’t have to cost more. Most times you will only get one opportunity to record material, make sure it’s done right.

2. Make sure that they will be providing full 1080p Editing Equipment: There are a number of Editing systems available, but you’ll want to ensure the Suite has all of the bells and whistles to make your completed production look polished and professional.  Another consideration is “Industry Standard”.  For this reason, we’ve chosen AVID editing systems.

3. What about providing no-cost extras? Unlimited use of a dynamic music library that is copyright-cleared, stock footage, no-cost animation sequences, and a diverse library of clipart and fonts should be provided to you without additional expense.  Make sure you don’t get overcharged for things like “encoding”, “up converting from SD to HD”, and a myriad of “extras” that some companies will try and add on.

4. Do they have experienced In-House Personnel? By having on-staff qualified technicians, you’ll be assured of technical accuracy and reduced cost. By having personnel and facilities on demand, there’s no need to add unnecessary mark-ups. The result is a reduced cost to you. Whether you’re an experienced hand or new to video production, you’ll want to work with the best technicians, writers, and producers available.

5. What is their area of Specialization? Your selection for a video production company should specialize in the type of video material that you require. For example, you may need a safety, training, orientation or demonstration video. Other clients may require retail television advertising or infomercials. Other possibilities may include videos for marketing, sales, or education, and you may choose to use a dramatic or non-dramatic format. It is difficult for one company to specialize in all areas; ask to see work examples.

6.What about price Point? With the use of today’s technology, in-house personnel, and equipment ownership, video production has never been more economical. For a detailed price quote, please contact our main switchboard

7. Can they supply a sample DVD specific to your area? Your video production company should custom design a DVD sample with examples of other companies that are in similar industries or that have done similar video productions. Ask for the names and phone numbers of the clients, along with the price range of each production.

8. Will they provide a No-Cost Quote? Your video production company should provide you with a detailed outline, a suggested creative treatment, and an item by item budget detailing the equipment and personnel required to bring your project to life.

9. Can they supply complete turn around and support? Some companies may have gear but no content expertise, others may be able to help design material, but don’t have equipment or facilities and must rent them. Make sure you tour the production facility to ensure your selection for video production company has all the right equipment available and also has the experience to bring it all together.

10. Does your selection for video production company stand behind their work? At Creative Control Media Productions, we ensure your satisfaction. From the initial meeting to discuss your project, through the drafts of the script, budgeting process, to shooting and editing, your satisfaction is our number one priority.
